How many weirdos can a young girl encounter before she ends up just totally paranoid and afraid to check her e-mail or caller ID…..wait a minute…..we didn’t have e-mail back then or caller ID. The snakes managed to infiltrate our lives none the less, whether by dwelling in close proximity or merely sponging off the generous hostess that made it such a haven for those seeking a warm place to threaten our sanity.

Growing up in the 60′s and 70′s was something different than what you see on TV these days. The most informative sex education for me came from the information on the box of kotex hidden in the bottom of the bathroom cabinet. You needed a belt and safety pins to strap them on…no such thing as sticky stuff to hold them in place.No wonder they called it “the curse” Some “loose women called having a period “My friend” Was that because she survived another month without a pregnancy scare? Tampons were NOT for virgins……even the itsy bitsy ones…..
